Techstrong Research polled our community of DevOps, cloud-native, cybersecurity and digital transformation readers and viewers to take their pulse on logging and observability trends. Respondents indicated that 52% of them collect all of their log and event data, but 21% of the respondents have yet to centralize all of the data.
As the digital landscape evolves, the rising adoption of cloud-native infrastructure, microservices and cutting-edge applications has resulted in exponential growth of log and event data. As a result, businesses now find themselves swimming in a sea of log and event data that is invaluable but often overwhelming. Furthermore, the application of this data has expanded beyond traditional boundaries, with use cases ranging from threat detection and compliance to a comprehensive range of system and performance management functions collectively termed “observability.”
