The steady expansion of Kubernetes has placed new demands on operations—especially where consistent performance, security and compliance are critical. These pressures are pushing more teams to look for unified management that can span clouds, data centers and everything in between.

Techstrong Research polled our community of security, cloud and DevOps readers and viewers to understand how organizations are running and governing Kubernetes across diverse environments. The findings make it clear: While single-platform clusters remain common, a majority of respondents already operate hybrid implementations that cross multiple clouds or infrastructure types. Yet many still face major barriers—particularly cost control, tooling sprawl and consistent policy enforcement. As a result, most hybrid Kubernetes initiatives remain early-stage and fragmented, with centralized visibility and automation emerging as key enablers.
